Anyway...... enough excuses...
This is going to be a super random blog update.
Bob has been working 6 days a week lately. He's got his full time job and he's also working on a contract. The weekends haven't been relaxing at all for either of us. We're both really tired on Sundays. The good thing is that we've been able to really help each other out though. He'll only be working this schedule for another few weeks. I can't wait until he is done with this contract! I miss my husband AND my sanity!
Speaking of.... he did manage to get a few days away last week when he went on his annual camping trip. I survived without him. It wasn't fun, but with a lot of help from my mom.....I did just fine with the girls. Well..other than sleep deprivation, but that was my fault because I don't sleep very good and I go to bed really late on the rare occasions that Bob isn't here.
Rachel was recently referred to have some therapy for her food issues. As I have talked about before, Rachel doesn't like foods with texture. She spits it out, gags, and sometimes pukes. She will only eat a few things right now, which makes meal time around here quite difficult. We have to wait about 30 days for the evaluation, but at least it's in the works and I can get her some help soon. We're also having her evaluated for her development. She is noticeably behind Morgan and Sophia, so we think it's better to get her checked sooner than later. I don't have big concerns there, but I do want to see if there is anything I can do to help her be less wobbly.
Let's see....what else...
Sophia is walking really well. She's so cute. If you say... Walk, walk, walk and hold her hand, she will walk all over with you. Morgan is taking 8-10 steps now too. She does it very slowly with caution. It's the cutest thing.
Oh...The girls shared their first donut yesterday. Sophia and Morgan LOVED it. Rachel wouldn't touch it. (More on that in a minute.) Morgan couldn't get enough of it. She would reach for the whole donut in my hand rather than the little pieces I was handing them. She's just like Daddy...hahahaha....When the donut was "all gone," and I told the girls so, Sophia cried. It was so funny. She wanted more. The girls made a little bit of a mess since I let them eat the donut pieces in the living room. There were some crumbs and little chunks on the floor. Rachel has a new habit of eating carpet fuzz. She won't eat FOOD, but she'll eat carpet fuzz. She must have mistaken a piece of the donut for fuzz because she picked it up and ate it off the floor. She looked up at me and started saying... MMMmmm, MMMmmm.... I know that if I had put that same piece of donut on her high chair tray, she would have thrown it on the floor!!!! Now she is going to think carpet fuzz is delicious! The good thing is that when I catch her with fuzz in her mouth, she gives up easily and spits it out in my hand.
I finally picked a paint color for the kitchen...I think. I painted a couple of different spots on the wall tonight to see if I like it tomorrow in the sunlight. If I do, a friend and I will be painting the kitchen on Sunday! I'm so happy to finally start painting this house!
If you were worried, I passed my written DMV test to renew my license! Still don't know why they had to waste my time and make Mrs. Perfect Driving Record take a test hahahaha! Seems like they should be testing the DUI people or the 5 speeding ticket people..... Oh well. It's done!
Well, I'm exhausted. I didn't realize how badly I was neglecting this blog. I'll try and do better. I'm just so sleepy lately!
